Hair Talk Tuesday

Hey Hairnista's! It's "Hair Talk Tuesday" so My La Femme Tress hair team and I would like share a few tips to help you maintain your weave. Keeping it clean, de-tangled, and moisturized are most important when preserving your hair.

As you can see above I washed and conditioned my La Femme Tress Hair and after having it installed for a little over a month, the hair returned to its original state. #Flawless! Check out a few tips below that will help you maintain your weave.

Wash The Hair- Using warm or cold water. Be sure to use moisturizing shampoo on your weave at least once a week.

Deep Condition the Hair- Using warm or cold water. Be sure to use moisturizing conditioner on your weave at least once a week.

Use Minimum Heat- If time permits, allow hair to air dry after conditioning. For styling and curling try to stay away from the flat irons. Use alternate curling options like flexi rods, rollers, and pin curls. I'll share some of my favorite styling tutorials below.

Use Heat Protector- When using heat on the hair be sure to use a heat protector.

I have to admit, I've had struggles practicing what I preach when it comes to hair care. I like to keep my hair looking like I JUST left the shop so I always abuse my weave by OVER USING HEAT! But burning your hair out is a complete waste of money, so I've learned how to look flawless using heat-less styles. Flexi rods have become my BEST FRIEND. Enjoy one of my favorite styling tutorials below.
